18th Sept. No 31903/20, I am directed by
the Inspector General to inform you that under
a Pension order recently made by the Lord Lieutenant and approved by the Treasury, Mr. Howe has been granted his full pension of two-thirds of his pay without counting the period during which he served in Hong Kong. In these circumstances there is now no necessity for the Hong Kong Government to grant Mr. Howe any pension from the funds of the Colony.
